Description
The Taking Flight with DISC Participant Guide is the companion workbook for the Taking Flight with DISC training program. This is not your typical 3-ring binder. Packed with years of DISC insights from Merrick Rosenberg, the author of Taking Flight! and The Chameleon, the Participant Guide is filled with interactive exercises that will bring the styles to life in the classroom. This beautifully designed guide is like a personal journal that participants will refer to as it offers tips and action ideas to apply the styles in their lives.
Instead of forgettable letters, the Participant Guide is based on the Eagle, Parrot, Dove, and Owl styles. Informational content includes a history of the four styles; an explanation of the three graphs; a description of the characteristics, contribution, dislikes/fears, and stress response of the styles; communication tips for speaking to each style, strategies to improve team dynamics based on the styles; tips for toning down style overuse; action ideas for applying the styles in daily life.
We all know that learning is a process, not an event, which is why we’ve also included the four Reinforcement Activities in the back of every Participant Guide. These four 15-20-minute self-facilitated activities can be integrated into a staff meeting or used as a stand-alone reinforcer. Your participants will continue to learn after they leave the classroom.
The Taking Flight with DISC Participant Guide also includes four reinforcement activities that can be self-facilitated by the team, including The Styles at Play, The Forgotten Traits, Words of Appreciation, and Growing Your Office Tree.
