Perhaps you have been training in DISC for years and are open to fresh activities, new insights, and premium materials to add to your repertoire. Becoming certified in the Take Flight Learning DISC programs will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and best practices to facilitate engaging, epiphany-filled DISC training sessions.

The certification process was personally created by Merrick Rosenberg, author of The Chameleon and coauthor of Taking Flight!. Merrick has incorporated his 25 years of experience in working with more than 30,000 classroom participants to help you bring the styles to life in your training programs.

This certification will guide you through a step-by-step process in building (or enhancing) your base of DISC knowledge. Topics covered in-depth include:

  • Learning about the history and theoretical foundation of the DISC Personality Styles.
  • Interpreting DISC profile graphs.
  • Understanding the four styles (D - Eagles, I - Parrots, S - Doves, C - Owls) and learning how to apply them in everyday situations.
  • Integrating the Taking Flight birds into engaging DISC exercises to deepen the learning experience.
  • Applying DISC in a variety of settings, including: Coaching, conflict management, innovation, leadership, sales, customer service and more.
  • Utilizing our fully-scripted Taking Flight with DISC Facilitator Guide to reinforce and master what you have learned in the certification process.

In addition to learning how to facilitate activity-filled DISC training programs, you will get everything you need to lead your sessions. You will receive fully-scripted facilitator guide, PowerPoint presentations you can use in the classroom.

Taking Flight with DISC Certification

Chameleon Leadership Certification

The Chameleon Leadership Program builds upon the skills learned in the Taking Flight with DISC Program, taking a fresh approach to leadership by using the power of your personality.

Based on the principles in Merrick Rosenberg’s book, The Chameleon: Life-Changing Wisdom for Anyone Who Has a Personality or Knows Someone Who Does, this session helps leaders better understand themselves, their own natural leadership skills, and how to adapt those skills to meet the needs of their team.

This course expands on your knowledge about the four styles gained in the Taking Flight with DISC program. This session will enable you to infuse the Eagles, Parrots, Doves, and Owls into your leadership style.

You will be able to:

  • Redefine leadership in a way that strengthens you and your team.
  • Apply the four styles to listening and communicating.
  • Identify predictable behaviors throughout each stage of the selling process based on the four styles.
  • Advance delegation strategies by assigning work in the style your team members need most.

ReDISCovering Conflict Certification

People often struggle with conflict – especially in the workplace. Fortunately, there are training programs to teach people how to manage it. And now it’s time to breathe new life into this training staple! Just as Taking Flight with DISC completely revolutionized DISC personality style training, ReDISCovering Conflict transforms conflict management training.

In this half-day certification course, you will learn how to guide participants to view conflict through the lens of the four personality styles drawn from the founding principles of Taking Flight with DISC and Merrick Rosenberg’s book, The Chameleon.

The ReDISCovering Conflict Certification provides facilitators with everything they need to know about instructing others on how personality styles play into conflict development and resolution.

This session includes:

  • An introduction to the new Chameleon Conflict Model and teaches trainers how to integrate the styles into the conflict management process.
  • The foundational skills needed by trainers to reframe conflict as an opportunity to build relationships and work through issues.
  • A new way to think about conflict, thus making it easy and comfortable for participants to proactively and responsively deal with conflict situations.
  • Guidelines for flexing one’s own personality style to “be the chameleon” and connect with others during conflict.
  • The methodology for facilitating ReDISCovering Conflict exercises to engage participants and turn conflict into a constructive force.

Chameleon Selling Certification

The Chameleon Selling certification teaches trainers how to lead a one-day sales training program based on selling with the DISC styles. This certification will provide trainers with the insights and training materials to conduct an engaging session filled with interactive exercises. Built off of the DISC principles as described in Merrick Rosenberg’s book, The Chameleon, trainers will learn how to help salespeople better understand themselves, their customers and prospective customers. Trainers will gain the skills to take salespeople to the next level.

Chameleon Selling is designed to take salespeople to the next level. Participants will learn how to infuse style into everything they do from the initial phase of prospecting and qualifying leads to maintaining the relationship and creating post-sales opportunities.

Chameleon Selling empowers and enables individuals to:

  • Develop greater self-awareness of one’s own selling style and its impact on sales success.
  • Recognize style characteristics of potential customers.
  • Identify predictable behaviors throughout each stage of the selling process based on the four styles.

Innovating IDEAs Certification

The Innovating IDEAs certification utilizes the four styles to help people tap into their natural strengths when generating ideas and bringing them to life. Interactive exercises flow through each phase of the innovative process from the original spark of the idea through final implementation. Teams will discover how to release untapped creative potential by giving each person the opportunity to play a vital role.

This certification follows the four bird styles through two loops of the IDEA model. Creativity relates to the inner world of imagination, while innovation relates to the outer world of implementation.
