This isn’t your typical deck of cards. Reading the Room is designed for the Taking Flight with EQ program, this 54-card set helps teams explore emotional intelligence in a hands-on, laughter-filled way. Each card features a single emotion, designed to spark both self-awareness and group connection.
Here’s how it works: Teams of 4–5 players take turns drawing a card. Without speaking, they must use only facial expressions and body language to act out the emotion on the card. Their partner team watches and tries to guess the emotion. It’s fast, fun, and surprisingly deep.
There are 18 emotions in three sets of cards. Cards are sorted into three identical color-coded categories—gold, blue, and green— to help you easily separate cards for your groups. With enough cards for 12 teams to play at once, this deck is ideal for workshops, off-sites, or any setting where building emotional insight matters.
