Chameleon Leadership Certification

Help leaders recognize how their personality shapes their leadership and adapt their approach to bring out the best in others.

The Chameleon Leadership Certification prepares you to lead training that connects the Eagle, Parrot, Dove, and Owl styles to everyday leadership responsibilities. Building on Taking Flight with DISC, this two-day certification explores how leaders can use their natural strengths while developing the flexibility to meet different team members’ needs.

Based on the principles in Merrick Rosenberg’s book, The Chameleon: Life-Changing Wisdom for Anyone Who Has a Personality or Knows Someone Who Does, the program brings personality insight into listening, communicating, delegating, and coaching. You’ll learn to help leaders recognize when their preferred approach is effective and when another approach would better serve the person or situation.

What You’ll Learn

The certification prepares you to guide participants through practical ways to:

• Explore how their natural leadership tendencies influence their team’s experience and effectiveness.
• Adapt listening and communication to connect with each of the four styles.
• Delegate with attention to the direction, support, and independence each team member needs.
• Deliver feedback in ways that help recipients understand it and put it into practice.
• Apply the One-Thing Method to improve questioning during performance reviews and coaching conversations.
• Strengthen engagement by recognizing and responding to different style-based needs.
• Create an action plan with specific behaviors to practice in their daily leadership.

You’ll leave prepared to facilitate a leadership session that helps participants expand their approach and make more intentional choices in their interactions. Effective leadership grows when leaders have more ways to respond.

• Attendance: Please make sure you can attend the entire certification. We do not schedule private make-up sessions if you miss some of the content and to honor the time of everyone in attendance, we do not review content that is missed if people arrive late.
• Rescheduling: A $100 rescheduling fee will be applied for rescheduling within 10 business days prior to the certification date.
• Cancellation: There are no refunds if the cancellation occurs within 10 business days prior to the certification.
